Detailed Design

This audit stage occurs on the completion of the detailed design but before the preparation of contract documents.

Typical considerations include geometric layout, line markings, signing, delineation, traffic signals, lighting, intersection details, clearance to roadside objects (crash barriers/frangibility), landscaping and provision for vulnerable road users. Attention to details at this stage will greatly contribute to reducing the costs and disruption at a later time of the project.
